#cybersecurity | Masking is a form of political branding – Chico Enterprise-Record

Why is everyone going crazy over Governor Newsom’s newest unconstitutional order? Everyone must wear facemasks. First, the order has no force of law. Laws are made by the state legislature, not by the governor’s whim. Second, there is no criteria for enforcement whatsoever, making it completely arbitrary. Third, there is a “medical exemption” which is unverifiable due to HIPPA regulations.  So, we have a “law” that isn’t a law being enforced by businesses that have no right to enforce it.

Really what is happening in California and other parts of the country is a political branding of sorts. If you dutifully wear your mask as the blue left-wing cities and states require, you show your true faith and allegiance to the policies and ideologies of the Democrat party and their sympathizers and followers. If you choose, on the other hand, to exercise individual freedom of choice and act in your own best interest, you are branded as a hater and a person who desires to hurt others by spreading the virus. In point of fact, there is statistical data that calls into question whether masks actually reduce the number of cases. While we are seeing an expected increase in cases due to more testing and the reopening of our economy, what is not being reported is that even though the number of cases is increasing, the number of deaths is decreasing.

If I were a high risk person, I would take precautions for myself and not infringe upon others.
